Remington-Rand Model 1911A1 U.S. Army Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1357700, .45 ACP cal., 5" barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, with standard blade front sight and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one circa-1970s magazine. Frame is marked "AA" (Augusta Arsenal rebuild), with "FJA" and "P" on the left side. Right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M 1911A1 U.S. ARMY". "(Crossed Cannons)" final inspection mark is at the rear. Slide is marked "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE N.Y. U.S.A." on the left side, which is the third marking variation, and has a "P" on top. Parkerized barrel is marked "HS". Condition is very good overall, retaining approx. 75% arsenal re-parkerized finish, with scattered light rust spots on the right side of the slide, and light wear at the grip area. Grips are very good. Action works properly. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
